It’s homecoming week at CU, so get ready to be inundated by enthusiastic Buffs.

The university is hosting events all week to draw crowds of students, alumni and the community. RJD2, Whiskey Blanket and DJ Rootz will be playing Wednesday night at CU’s Glenn Miller Ballroom.  The homecoming parade will snake through town Friday evening, dovetailing into the Pearl Street Stampede and Pep Rally at 7 p.m.   And the weekend’s activities will culminate in the CU vs. Texas Tech football game Saturday afternoon.

Nearly 32,000 CU students and 21,000 alumni call Boulder home.

More than 5,000 out-of-town guests, plus visitors from Denver and other outlying Colorado cities, are expected to attend homecoming festivities and/or the game. All told, the city anticipates a $1.5 million spending infusion this weekend.
