Thousands of athletes will splash through Boulder Reservoir, ride on county roads and run along the Boulder Creek Path for the city’s second — and the world’s largest — Ironman triathlon.
It will be an epic event (and an economic boon) for our community. About 70 percent of the more than 3,000 athletes registered to compete in the Ironman are from out of state, which means they’ll likely do some spending in Boulder and along the Front Range.
The Daily Camera’s Guide to Ironman Boulder 2016 will include all the information our readers, the athletes and their support crews need: an event schedule, event course, road closures, and spectator fast facts.
We’ll be reserving an exclusive page each for local restaurants and breweries (only six spots in each category are available).
For bonus distribution, the section will be included in the Triathlete race packets distributed the Thursday and Friday prior to the race, as well as at the Ironman Concert at the Pearl Street Mall on Friday, Aug. 5.
We offer online opportunities in the Ironman digital edition, too! Call 303.473.1400 by Weds., July 20 to reserve your ad.
