The 2009 job market is hard on everyone, but it’s hardest on job seekers with employment gaps, quirky backgrounds and hard-to explain career stories. The Camera has teamed up with national careers expert Liz Ryan to bring answers, encouragement and concrete tools to job seekers with special challenges in our new workshop series: “What About Me? Job Search for Non-Cookie-Cutter Job Seekers”
This three-part program is designed to help job seekers who don’t fit the mold develop and hone a job search story, find opportunities through non-traditional means, and embrace their life and work experiences in a way that will translate to talent-starved employers, even when their resumes don’t fit the stereotypical “up-the-career- ladder” framework.
We’ll meet for three engaging and high-energy sessions – from 9 to 11 a.m. on September 10, 17 and 24 at the Camera in downtown Boulder. Pick the workshop that best suits your needs or sign up for all three. Registration is $100 each or $250 for all three workshops. Parking is included in the price of your registration.
The first session starts in 10 days, so the time to act is now. Learn more about each workshop and register online at dailycamera.com/careerreboot or call 303.473.1272. Your new job is waiting.
