The ducks are coming! This Labor Day, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m., join the over 7,000 community members in this year’s annual Great Boulder Duck Race, presented by the PLAY Boulder Foundation.

The Daily Camera is proud to be long-time sponsor of this fun annual event, which features 6,000 little yellow ducks racing to the finish line on Boulder Creek.

For nearly 30 years the “Great Rubber Duck Race” was a fixture of Memorial Day weekend in Boulder, but the ducks have migrated to Labor Day weekend and the “Great Boulder Duck Race” now takes place at the Boulder Creek Hometown Festival. You can adopt a duck for just $10, or get your ducks in a row (three lucky ducks for $25; seven for $50) online or at the event.

There are great prizes for top finishers (you could win up to $1,000), and lots of creekside fun for everyone.

You can also support the Great Boulder Duck Race by lending a hand as a volunteer. You’ll receive a signature anniversary t-shirt and complimentary duck adoption.
