I love Boulder in the summer, and here’s another reason: Downtown Boulder’s Bands on the Bricks. Every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., a group of local musicians performs in front of the Boulder County Court House. It’s a great time, some of the best entertainment in town and absolutely free.
The Nacho Men, known throughout Colorado for their dance music, costume changes, choreography and on-stage antics, will be hitting the bricks tonight. Come join the fun.

While you’re there, visit the Camera tent for a balloon or some bubbles for your wee ones. Try out the new beer garden, featuring brews from the Boulder Draft House. And be sure to drop by one of our tasty local hot spots for cocktails and dinner before the music starts.
Rueben’s Burger Bistro is one of my family’s current favorites.

Their pretzel-bunned creations and hand-cut fries are sensational, though my husband is partial to the 10 Belgian beers on tap and my girls love the build-your-own mac and cheese with organic milk.

Not in the mood for a burger? There are plenty of other options.

Sample the fresh offerings at Salt, Trattoria on Pearl, Japango, Tahona Tequila Bistro, The Kitchen,  The BOP (Boulder Organic Pizzeria),  Sherpa’s, Gondolier on Pearl or Sushi Zanmai.

Boulder is alive and well. Let’s keep it that way by supporting our local artists and businesses. Come spend some time (and money) downtown.
