We see a Black Friday and we want it to turn Plaid. Friday, Nov. 23 is the
biggest shopping day of the year. Corporate retailers have dubbed it Black Friday, but
local businesses encourage you to think outside the big box and make it a Plaid Friday as well by patronizing independently owned stores.

The name Plaid Friday celebrates the diversity and creativity
of independent businesses. You can join in the fun by wearing plaid while shopping at
participating retailers on November 23. Look for the special Plaid Friday placards at
your local shops, many of which will be offering specials.

The Camera will be celebrating Plaid Friday with a section in
our holiday gift guide devoted to local and independent businesses. My
thanks to Dana Culbertson at JJ Wells for helping us with this effort.

Our Plaid Friday section is a great place to advertise your local credentials and Plaid Friday specials, as well as generate excitement for the holiday season. Call us at 303.473.1400 now for more information; the deadline to advertise in our gift guide is tomorrow.
