Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC) has joined forces with Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia and a broad coalition of Colorado partners to lead a statewide book drive, Colorado Business Reads, for children from birth to 8 years old. The goal is to create public awareness of and support for the importance of summer reading with an adult.

The Camera and Times-Call are delighted to be accepting donations for Colorado Business Reads. Please bring age-appropriate, new or gently used books to our offices – the Camera’s at 5450 Western Ave. in Boulder and/or the Times-Call’s at 350 Terry St. in Longmont. Books are also being collected at The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County – 1123 Spruce St. in Boulder – and the Boulder Chamber of Commerce – 2440 Pearl St. in Boulder.

All locally donated books will be picked up by community volunteers and distributed to families in need throughout Boulder County.

Reading to children is so important – for language acquisition, school preparation and a lifelong love of learning. EPIC hopes to give as many parents and children as possible the chance to learn and grow together with this book drive. Colorado Business Reads is happening now through Friday, May 17. We hope to see you in our offices with donations.
