The 1990 University of Colorado football team accomplished two “firsts” in its storied history: the Buffs played the nation’s toughest schedule and posted an 11-1-1 record, with the win over Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl cementing the school’s first national championship.
We are publishing a commemorative edition on Sun., Aug. 23 to showcase that tremendous season, with interviews and anecdotes from the players and coaches.
More than 56,000 copies will be distributed in the Daily Camera, Times-Call and Broomfield Enterprise, plus a Sun., Aug. 30 bonus insertion in the Denver Post (Boulder County zone).
“The 1990 NCAA national football championship is one of the greatest moments in CU athletics history and one of our proudest accomplishments. We wholeheartedly support the Daily Camera in its celebration of the 25th anniversary of our championship,” says Rick George, University of Colorado athletic director.
Full- and half-page advertisers will  receive a complimentary framed and signed limited edition 25th Anniversary poster by Drew Litton, an American cartoonist, called “one of the last sports cartoonists left in the United States.”
