Local nonprofit organization Special Transit’s mission is to promote independence and self-sufficiency for people with limited mobility by providing caring, customer-focused transportation options. The organization was established in 1979 to coordinate these options for Boulder County residents. Since that time, Special Transit has grown to support multiple counties and a number of life- changing programs.

As such, the Camera is happy to sponsor Special Transit’s REV IT UP! fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Tebo’s Garage in Longmont. It promises to be a lively evening, with big band music, swing dancing with lessons, vintage cars and irresistible food and drinks.

“We’d love to sell out again in advance of our event,” said Diana DeBrohun, development specialist at Special Transit, as she scheduled her sponsored ads. “And we know that advertising in the Camera makes a big difference in our ability to do that.”

The Camera is proud to support Special Transit as well as 120 other hard-working nonprofit organizations every year with our time, talent and more than $2 million of support.

Tickets for REV IT UP! go on sale in August. In the meantime, visit www.specialtransit.org to learn more about the organization, make a donation, volunteer and/or schedule a ride.
