If you are enjoying your golden years, you’re in good company. Boulder County residents aged 65 or older accounted for 10 percent of the population in the 2010 Census, up from 7.8 percent in 2000. County officials predict seniors will make up 20 percent of the population by 2020.

For all our local seniors and the people who love them, the Longmont Times-Call is proud to present its free 55 & Better Senior Expo. Join in the fun this Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Longmont Senior Center.

The Expo will feature giveaways and free seminars throughout the day. More than 25 vendors will be on hand – health care providers, nonprofit organizations, financial institutions and a slew of other retail and service providers. Trade in a book for a new read at the Paperback Book Exchange. Donate to the Longmont Community Foundation’s St. Vrain Flooding Relief Fund. Visit the free 55 & Better Senior Expo for an educational, entertaining experience among friends.
