Growing Gardens is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating community through gardening. Since 1998, it has worked to empower youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, and low-income families and individuals in our community. Its main garden site, located in North Boulder, has been in agricultural use for the past 100 years.

Growing Gardens is doing amazing work – from teaching sustainable agriculture, leadership, entrepreneurial and life skills to at-risk youth to providing seeds, plants, garden plots and classes to low-income families, and beyond. The Camera is pleased to be a sponsor.

“Because of your support for our Cultiva! Harvest Dinner, our attendance has continued to rise,” wrote executive director Ramona Clark. “…. the exposure that the Daily Camera’s sponsorship gave us was a key to its success.

“Growing Gardens Community Plant Sale has continued to grow in size, and we expect sales over the weekends in May to exceed $60,000. “Many people came to these important fundraisers for our organization because of the ads in your paper.”

The Camera is proud to sponsor Growing Gardens as well as 120 other hard-working local nonprofit organizations with our time, talent and more than $2 million of support. Visit growinggardens.org to learn more. And don’t miss Growing Gardens’ four plant sales this spring, starting April 9.
