Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States–and it’s the only cause of death among the top 10 without a way to prevent, cure or even slow its progression.
This year will see the first Boulder Walk to End Alzheimer’s (WTEA). I am serving on the Boulder Walk Committee and the Camera is sponsoring this event. I would love for you to join me in the fight to end Alzheimer’s. My mom started showing signs of the disease when she was 65. She now lives in a memory care facility, so this event is very near and dear to my heart.
The Boulder Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, August 1 on the University of Colorado Boulder campus.
Here’s how you can get involved in this effort.
Start or join a team: of family, friends and co-workers by registering at ColoradoAlzWalk.org.
Become a sponsor: Your organization can partner with the Alzheimer’s Association and have a profound impact on the movement to end Alzheimer’s!
Volunteer at the Boulder WTEA: We’re looking for volunteers to assist us on the day of the Walk to make this a great event.
OK, it’s time to start building your team! Together we can eradicate this disease.
