It’s time again to join together and help support Community Food Share’s Let’s Bag Hunger food drive, and we’re putting out the call for volunteers. The annual drive is now in its 30th year, and the Daily Camera is proud to be a long-time sponsor.
Community Food Share is the food bank for Boulder and Broomfield counties. Non-perishable food and dollars donated to this drive help restock supplies and get food where it is needed the most.
Generous citizens can purchase canned tuna, soup, pasta, chili, canned fruit, dry cereal, peanut butter and other non-perishable foods, and donate these at dozens of drop-off locations across Boulder and Broomfield counties.
That’s a heapin’ helping of groceries, and we need your help getting these donations collected and distributed.
My daughter Savannah volunteered this summer with Community Food Share to earn her high school community service hours, and she found it to be a rewarding experience! She and I (along with the rest of my family) will be signing up for a shift.
Won’t you please join us and hundreds of other volunteers? For more information or to get involved, please call 303.652.3663.
