Celebrating its 9th year, the Pearl Street Stampede has become a community tradition and a great opportunity for local families and visitors alike to showcase pride and support for CU. The first Stampede of the season happens tonight in anticipation of the CU vs. CSU football showdown tomorrow.

The free fun starts with the Golden Buffalo Marching Band playing in front of the Boulder County Courthouse at 7 p.m. The stampede of band members, football players, cheerleaders and revelers will then get underway, led by Stephen Tebo’s vintage 1948 fire truck. It’s going to be a blast.

The Camera has been a proud sponsor of the Pearl Street Stampede since its inception. It’s a terrific family event – my girls love it – and it’s great for Downtown Boulder and our local retailers, hotels, restaurants, entertain- ment venues and service providers. So fire it up for the Buffs and Downtown Boulder. Join in the Stampede tonight and before every home game.
