The Boulder Chamber and CU Basketball have teamed up to create the Next Generation Program, advancing the next generation of CU fans and students. The program also celebrates the success of the CU basketball team by facilitating a sold out stadium for opening night.

The Next Generation Program encourages local businesses to buy and donate tickets and t-shirts to the team’s home opener on November 9 against Wofford College. In cooperation with local community organizations, 2,000 tickets and shirts will be distributed to low-income and first-generation middle and high school students and their families. The idea is to provide families with a fun night and expose students to the CU experience in a way that may inspire them to enroll. Current first-generation CU students will be in the crowd to share their thoughts. After the game, fans can stay to see the CU women’s volleyball team take on UCLA.

The Next Generation Program is a wonderful collaboration between local businesses, nonprofit organizations, the Boulder Chamber and CU. The Camera is proud to support them all individually as well as together through this exciting program. Join us in building a brighter future for our community, won’t you?
