Growing older can get lonely at times. For seniors in Boulder County, living on a fixed income often means they can’t take part in the heartbeat of community life.
Circle of Care, a Boulder County nonprofit, works to unite generations with the Seats for Seniors program. Volunteer performance companions share arts, culture and educational experiences with seniors, building meaningful, supportive relationships. The program is the first of its kind and has received a National Best Practice award from the MetLife Foundation and Partners for Livable Communities in Washington, DC.
Now you can help, too. Just do your grocery shopping on Tues., March 17  at Ideal Market and five percent of your purchase will be donated to help Boulder County senior citizens.
You can also help seniors’ access to healthy foods by purchasing an Ideal Market/ Whole Foods gift card, which will be distributed to vulnerable seniors.
