Thanksgiving is just two weeks from today. You’ll probably be making a few extra trips to the grocery store. While you’re there, you also have a chance to help needy families in Boulder and Broomfield counties.
Community Food Share is looking for your support with its annual Let’s Bag Hunger food drive, Nov. 10 through 14. Just purchase canned tuna, soup, pasta, chili, canned fruit, dry cereal, peanut butter and other non-perishable foods, and donate these at drop-off locations across Boulder and Broomfield counties. You can also choose to donate funds online.
CFS is the food bank for Boulder and Broomfield counties. Non-perishable food and dollars that are donated to this annual food drive help restock supplies and get food where it is needed the most. Food security – the means to provide enough healthy food for your family – can’t be taken for granted, even right here in our home towns.
The Daily Camera is proud to be a long-time sponsor of Let’s Bag Hunger and we encourage you to help out with your generous donations. Volunteers are also needed to greet shoppers. For more information, call 303.652.3663 or visit communityfoodshare.org.
