I’m always so impressed at how times of great need bring out the best in so many people.
You may know of Sister Carmen, the family resource center that provides assistance to residents of east Boulder County who are in need. I just heard from Suzanne Crawford, Sister Carmen’s CEO, on their fundraising efforts to assist community members affected by COVID-19.
“Sister Carmen Community Center received a generous donation of $50,000 from a local family in order to help provide assistance to community members who are affected by COVID-19,” Suzanne says.
“The family, who wishes to remain anonymous, made the donation in hopes that other community members will donate and match or exceed the amount.
“I cannot even begin to express what this donation means to us. We know that demand for our services is going to increase as the virus spreads in the coming weeks. This incredibly generous donation, and matching funds collected, will go a long way towards helping us provide critical support during this crisis.”
Our community rocks! Please join me in supporting Sister Carmen and other organizations in need. You can donate right now at coloradogives.org/sistercarmen. Thank you.
