Enjoy a bit of local, live theater with VIVA Theater’s production of “Westward the Women,” the story of determined women who cross the dangerous prairies of mid-nineteenth century America on a quest for matrimony.

Recruited in Chicago to become mail-order brides for lonely ranchers in California, the women are led west by a hard-bitten cowboy who thinks they’ll never make it. Romance blossoms in the dust, and tragedies befall the wagon train, but the ladies shoulder on.

Join VIVA for a rollicking ride across the perilous prairies, as pioneer women make their way west to California to marry lonesome ranchers.

Performances take place November 16 and 23 at 7 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinee shows on November 17, 18 and 24. Get your tickets online at TheDairy.org or call the box office 303.444.7328.

Will they get to California? Will the ranchers find wives at last? Will the cowboy and the dance hall girl stop quarreling and finally kiss? Come find out!

The Viva Theater continues to present original performances throughout the year.
