The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County’s biennial Trends report is out, and it’s an eye-opener.

“There’s a lot to love about Boulder County, so long as you can afford to live here,” writes Community Foundation president Josie Heath in the introduction to the report. “The rising cost of living is widening the gap between the haves and the have-nots.”

The Trends report examines education, healthcare, the economy, the environment, arts and culture, and civic life in Boulder County.

Its purpose is to give The Community Foundation the information it needs to measure community assets and shore up weak spots. But local government officials and business leaders also routinely look to Trends for solid research to use in their decision making processes.

It’s an interesting read, and it’s full of vital information and calls to action, all aimed at improving our community. But don’t take my word for it. This Sunday’s Camera will include a Trends report. Pick up your copy and get inspired to make a difference.
