The three Boulder Rotary clubs are organizing another food drive to benefit the Sister Carmen Community Center, which will take place this Saturday, May 9 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The last drive was a resounding success and we hope to keep up the momentum on behalf of local families who could use our help. Please plan to drop your non-perishable food items in the parking lot of the YMCA at Arapahoe and 95th in Lafayette (look for the Rotary banners).

Volunteers will be wearing masks and observing all social distancing best practices to ensure a safe donation experience (please do the same when you stop by).

Sister Carmen is a non-religious community center assisting low-income families with food needs, rent and utility assistance. Sister Carmen continues to serve upwards of 90 to 100 families in Boulder County every day during the Covid-19 pandemic—that’s about twice the typical pre-pandemic need.

Thank you, Daily Camera readers, for your help as we take care of others in our community who truly need this assistance at this time.
