Who ever thought it was going to get this big? When the BolderBoulder started in 1979, the hope was to attract a few hundred runners to a race through the streets of Boulder. More than one million runners, joggers, walkers and spectators of all ages have gathered over the years to create a spectacle that defies description. Olympic medal winners and hopefuls, grandmothers and kids and running enthusiasts come together at the foot of the Rocky Mountains for one of the sport’s truly unique events.

Each year, we host more than 50,000 participants and 100,000 spectators throughout the course for what we like to call the biggest and best Memorial Day celebration on earth.

Celebrate this one-of-a-kind event and 40-year milestone with a captivating book that covers the founders, the memories, the record-breaking finishes, the posters, the t-shirts, the celebrities, the spectators and more. This beautifully bound, 160-page book by the Daily Camera’s sports department is now available for pre-order at pediment.com/products/bolder-boulder-40-commemorative-book. The price is just $24.95 per copy ($15 off the cover price of $39.95). Shipping will begin April 27, 2018.
