“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think,” said Winnie the Pooh to Christopher Robin.
This sentiment is communicated daily at Blue Sky Bridge, a local nonprofit dedicated to prevention and intervention in the fight against child abuse, a place where abused children and their families can go to begin their journey towards healing. In 2012 alone, the organization worked with 280 children and 299 caregivers.
The Camera is proud to sponsor Blue Sky Bridge.
“Thank you so much for your generous donation of ad space. Your continued partnership with us makes such a difference in the lives of children in our community,” wrote Blue Sky Bridge’s Nia Wassink. “Because of your gift, children in our community are able to get the critical intervention they need after a report of child abuse. With your help, we are working to reduce the trauma children experience during a child abuse investigation.
“We are so fortunate to consider you a true partner with us in this work. Thank you for your dedication to children and their safety.”
Our thanks to Blue Sky Bridge staff and volunteers for doing such amazing work for our community. For more information about Blue Sky Bridge, including what you can do to prevent child abuse, visit blueskybridge.org.
