Wow, talk about a resounding success. Coloradans made a spectacular show of support for their favorite local nonprofits on December 4, the biggest day of giving in Colorado. Colorado Gives Day broke its own record this year, distributing $15.7 million to 1,246 Colorado nonprofits. More than 69,000 donations were received, ranging from $10 to $200,000, with one donor contributing more than $44,000 to 96 different charities. Amazing.

Many of the organizations that benefitted are housed right here in Boulder County, which is why the Camera and Times-Call were pleased to sponsor Colorado Gives Day.

“The Boulder Shelter for the Homeless and 21 additional local human services non-profits would like to thank you for sponsoring our Colorado Gives Day collaboration,” wrote Caroline Goosman of Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. “The Camera is truly valued for helping us spread the word about Colorado Gives Day and how our organizations work together in helping those in need.”

“We appreciate your support very much,” wrote Susan Williams of Mental Health Partners. “The Camera is an essential and valued community partner.”

The real credit belongs to all of you who donated to local nonprofits on Colorado Gives Day and throughout the year. Thank you for supporting our community!
