Over the past month, we have received many comments praising our coverage of the Fourmile Fire. Publishing the most complete, timely information possible is our job. But like most stories we cover, the fire is personal. We don’t just work here; we live here, too. This is our community.

For this reason, and because we are longtime supporters of The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, the Camera recently contributed to the foundation’s Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund.

“Thank you for your donation …. Your gift will support community members directly affected by the Fourmile Canyon Fire,”  wrote Josie Heath, the foundation’s president. “This includes the local volunteer fire departments who courageously fought this fire and the mountain residents whose lives were directly impacted by this disaster and are in critical need of financial support.”

The Camera is proud to assist The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County as well as 120 other hard-working local nonprofit organizations with our time, talent and more than $2 million of support.

The Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund is but one of many funds managed by our Community Foundation to improve the quality of life in Boulder County.
