The Camera was pleased to sponsor the 7th annual Hike for Youth on September 25. The event included easy, moderate and strenuous hikes, a 10K trail run and outdoor skills clinics, and an after party with music, fun and food. It was a great time as well as a rousing success. All proceeds from the event went to three local nonprofit agencies that connect kids to the outdoors – The Women’s Wilderness Institute, cityWILD and the Colorado Mountain Club.

“ … thank you for your support of the 2010 Hike for Youth event. The event was a great success – the weather was perfect, and over 100 people got out and enjoyed a fun day filled with hiking, running and climbing,” wrote Joanne Dant, events and public relations coordinator for The Women’s Wilderness Institute. “We appreciate your support and hope we can work together again on next year’s event!”

The Camera is proud to support cityWILD, Colorado Mountain Club and The Women’s Wilderness Institute, as well as 120 other hard-working local nonprofit organizations every year with our time, talent and more than $2 million of support.
