The Boulder County Latina League is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of our future Latina and Latino leaders through advanced educational opportunities. Since 1999, it has  provided scholarships and other support to enable qualified minority students to attend colleges and universities as a step toward becoming fully integrated into the local community and economy.

The Latina League is doing amazing work – since its inception, it has awarded more than 230 scholarships totaling more than $192,000. The University of Colorado has taken the League’s efforts further, providing matching scholarships to all recipients who attend CU. The organization formed a partnership with Impact on Education last year to ensure a solid foundation for the future of League scholarships. The Camera is pleased to be a sponsor.

“I want to thank you for establishing a partnership with the League,” wrote president and co-founder Ester Matheson in an e-mail I received earlier this month. “I hope you realize that this is the best Christmas present the League could have received!”

The Camera is proud to sponsor the Boulder County Latina League as well as 120 other hard-working local nonprofit organizations with our time, talent and more than $2 million of support.
