For 31 years, Let’s Bag Hunger has been a cornerstone of support for our community’s efforts to end hunger.  Each year as we head into the colder months, our hearts are filled with gratitude and our warehouse is filled with nutritious food donated through this annual food and fund drive.  Since 1985, the Daily Camera has helped us collect more 2.5 million meals for those in need!

This year, our goal was 135,000 meals.  We collected 88,507 pounds and $18,225, which translates into 143,000 meals!  We are grateful to the community for helping us exceed the goal, and helping us provide much-needed food through our network of Partner Agencies and direct distribution programs.

We would like to thank the Daily Camera, and Marketing Director Jill Stravolemos, for the longtime sponsorship and press coverage of the food drive. Thank you to Alfalfa’s, King Soopers, Lucky’s Market, Niwot Market, and Sprouts Farmers Market for graciously hosting the drive.  Thank you to more than 500 volunteers who donated 1,567 hours as store greeters, food delivery volunteers, and food sorters at our warehouse. Our biggest appreciation goes to our generous community for donating food and funds to help the 56,000 people facing food insecurity in Boulder and Broomfield counties.
