I’d like to take a moment to thank our long-time advertisers who have consistently supported local community journalism with their advertising in the Daily Camera and our sister publications. There are too many to mention in just one column, so I’ll be thanking them one by one, right here.
Can you believe it? The Pedestrian Shop turns 50 this year! You’ve seen the flagship store on the Pearl Street Mall (where I bought my first pair of Dansko clogs). There is another location in The Village shopping center, and the newest store in Denver. Owner Richard Polk recently received the Business of the Year award from the Downtown Boulder Partnership.
When I arrived in Boulder more than 20 years ago, the Pedestrian Shop was already a regular Camera advertiser and I am thrilled that they continue to invest in our print and online products.
And when my daughter, a tremendous fan of Birkenstocks, moved into her apartment last fall she was thrilled to learn the Village location was within walking distance of her apartment.
I encourage you, as a local consumer, to support these advertising partners with your business. And if your business is a frequent advertiser with us, please let your ad consultant know you’d like to be featured here, too.
