Our friends at The Academy in Boulder are hosting an important presentation for anyone who is involved in dementia care. There are nearly 10 million new cases of dementia each year worldwide, according to the World Health Organization—so the impact on families is wide-ranging.

The Academy Friends and Associates will be hosting a complimentary breakfast and presentation by David Troxel on Wednesday, May 16 at 8 a.m. in The Academy Historic Chapel Hall. The public is invited to attend.

David Troxel, M.P.H., is nationally known for his writing and teaching in the fields of Alzheimer’s disease and long-term care. He has co-authored four influential books, including The Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s Care. He is a past executive board member of the American Public Health Association.

The Academy is bringing Troxel to Boulder to share his expertise in dementia care with the greater Boulder community. Please RSVP to Carrie Orbino at 303.938.1920 or email carrie@theacademyboulder.
