Halloween has turned into a month-long scarefest and celebration of fall. It is one of the fastest-growing holidays, now as big a deal for the adults as it is for the kids. It’s also a big deal for retailers of Halloween products and services. Last year’s retail Halloween spending was expected to hit an average of $85 per person, with total spending reaching $8.4B. More costumes, decor and treats than ever will be flying off the shelves as our readers gear up to celebrate.

More than a third of celebrants have already started their fall and Halloween shopping. Forty-four percent will shop the first two weeks of October and 22 percent shop the last two weeks.
