The origin of Veterans Day dates back to the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when World War I came to a formal end.

Thus, Veterans Day is honored every year on November 11th in appreciation of veterans’ service to our country.

Veterans Day today is a time to offer goodwill and gratitude.

Our month-long Veterans Salute feature will celebrate and honor veterans of the uniformed services who served or are still serving.

Each day during the month of November we will spotlight and thank local veterans.

Sponsoring a daily spotlight makes a strong statement of support and benefits veterans as well: ten percent of the campaign proceeds will be donated to the Colorado Veterans Project.

The spotlights will publish in one of our community newspapers and include:

• Anchor position at the bottom of the Veterans Salute print spotlight

• “Presented by” designation on the Newspaper.com profile page

• “Presented by” designation on the in-feed Facebook post

Call our advertising team at 303.473.1400 for more information on recognizing our local veterans.

Deadline to reserve your ad sponsorship is Monday, Oct. 30.
