I’ve got some sweet news to share: Abo’s south location at 637 S Broadway is presenting a Juneteenth cookie sale to benefit the Boulder NAACP chapter.

As you probably know, Juneteenth is the oldest national commemoration celebrating the end of slavery in the United States.

When you purchase cookies through Saturday, June 19 (Juneteenth), Abo’s South will donate 100 percent of sales to the Boulder chapter.

A spokesperson at Abo’s told us, “We try to keep our fundraisers local to support our community. Our cookies are homemade, and we’re super proud of them—they’ve become very popular at the shop.

“We have two flavors right now: giant soft chocolate chunk cookies or peanut butter M&M’s with chocolate chunks. They also keep well in the freezer… so stock up to support the fundraiser!”

I hope you can stop by and pick up some cookies and support this worthy group.
