Here’s a delicious way to support a worthy local nonprofit in our community.  It’s as easy as taking a bite out of a brownie!

Danconias Brownies is a social enterprise of Community Table Kitchen and Bridge House, a local nonprofit that works to end homelessness.

Bridge House provides room and board, counseling, job training and placement for housing- and job-insecure people to re-enter the work force. Participants are part of the Ready to Work program and are trained over a year to become bakers, packagers, shippers, and more.

Danconias Brownies began as a for-profit business, but several years ago it was graciously donated to Bridge House, who have been running the business since then.

“Boulder has been very progressive in the homeless arena and we are proud to be running an essential business,” says Scott Walker, operations coordinator.

Several different flavors are made from all natural ingredients and all profits go to the work program.
