A lot of folks have been honing their cooking skills this past year as a creative response to our restricted dining-out opportunities. What a great time for a cooking class, then.
The Lafayette Chamber is presenting a virtual “Let’s Get Cooking” class featuring chef Christopher DeJohn, former executive chef at Sports Authority Field for 15 years. During this live and interactive online cooking class with Chef DeJohn, you will learn how to prepare a creamy and savory risotto dish in your choice of three options: Lobster Risotto, Wild Mushroom Risotto or Butternut Squash Risotto. Hard to choose, right?
Chef DeJohn will begin the class by teaching you some tips, tricks and trade secrets to make this dish your new specialty. Gather with your “pod” of friends or family for this enjoyable, step-by-step demonstration.
The class will be presented on Weds., April 7 from 6–7:30 p.m. Class cost is $40, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Coal Creek Meals on Wheels (there is an option to make an additional donation when you register).
